All tiles that are porous be it natural or manmade must be sealed to protect them from getting
stained and prevent them from buildup of dirt and grime. Once the floor has been thoroughly
cleaned, we recommend sealing the grout lines with a penetrating sealer that fully fills in the
pores of your grout. It creates a barrier that protects against spills, soiling, and discoloration, as
well as dirt, fungus, mildew, and bacteria. After the grout sealer is applied, water/oil can collect
on the surface, and dirt can be washed away. It’s a lot easier to clean and maintain grout lines
that have been properly sealed.
